National Christmas tree visit

The first picture was the best of 4 attempts by Grandpa Ohio to get our picture with the national Christmas tree in the background. It was freezing cold, but the boys were very excited to see all the Christmas trees. The next picture is of the train and village set up around the National tree. The third picture is the group that provided the ornaments for the Georgia tree. The last picture is of the Nativity scene at the National Christmas tree. Unfortunately it was near the fire pit, that had a very strong odor. The fire was warm, but the smoke was hard to be near.

Christmas in DC

The first picture is shortly after everyone got up on December 30th for our late Christmas with my side of the family. The next three ar of the boys opening up their presents. They love to play these saxaphones that Grandpa gave them. They like the remote control cars and it mostly keeps dad's remote control car safe.

Christmas with Granny!

We spent from December 23-27 with D's family in Savannah. Most of the family stayed at a rental house near Oat land Island. It was a really neat house that was built into the marsh. It had lots of sliding glass doors, but most of the doors had at least one way to lock them. The boys had fun with all of their Aunts, Uncles and cousins. The first picture is Tyler helping decorate the Christmas tree in a coastal (seashells and fish) theme.

The second picture is Tyler with cousin Amanda. The third picture is of the boys opening their Christmas Eve present of matching Santa PJ's. The last one is actually from shortly after we got to the rental house Christmas Eve day.

Two

We received these two piggy banks during the summer from our friend Dick and had put them up until Fall. I forgot about them till the other day, when asked what happened to
them I had to think where I had safely put them.

The one with the mostly blue face is Tyler's and the multi-colored pig is Will's.

Christmas Cards

The boys got Christmas cards from their Granny and from a family friend. Tyler was happy to let Dad open the cards and read them to him. Will wanted to do everything himself. He even cleaned up the seasonal confetti that was in one of the cards that he spilt everywhere opening the card.
They liked their cards, but lost interest quickly.

A word on the matching clothes a friend of ours at church has twins that are 4 years old and so we recently got a large collection of clothes with many matching outfits (pants and shirts). The boys love to where the same clothes for now and I know it won't last.

Books from Sami!

We came home from church last Wednesday to find a box by our garage door. The box was from Cousin Sami. She had written the boys a note that she was sending a few of her favorite Christmas books and hoped they enjoyed them. They really have liked them these pictures are from the night we received the books, Dad read two books downstairs. The boys then each picked a book to take upstairs to their room. They have read the Clifford book almost every night.

Thank you Sami and Gwyn for sending the books the boys will enjoy the books for several years.
